On 22 June, 2021 Battery Minerals announced that it had agreed to acquire the Azura Project in the Halls Creek tectonic zone in the Kimberley region of Western Australia.

The Azura Project will be acquired from iCopper Pty Ltd, a syndicate in which indigenous Kimberley residents are 47% shareholders.

The combined tenement package comprises 258km2 of highly prospective geology. Historical exploration has mapped a copper-bearing trend over 8km over granted tenure, and extends at least a further 6km into application ELA80/5348.

The tenement package has signed heritage agreements in place with the Purnululu and Malarngowem traditional owners whose lands cover a significant portion of the East Kimberly region.

Airborne EM Survey was flown in June 2021 and processing is underway to assist with targeting.

Extensive field work is planned to commence in July, followed by a Heritage Impact Assessment (HIA) for an inaugural drilling campaign planned for the December quarter of 2021.
