
David Flanagan
Chairman
David Flanagan AM CitWA, is a geologist with more than 25 years’ experience in the mining and mineral exploration industry in Australia, Indonesia and Africa.
David has a BSc in Mining & Minerals Exploration Geology, undertaken at Curtin University, WA School of Mines in Western Australia. He is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and Member of the Australian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy.
David was the founding Managing Director of Atlas Iron Limited. During his tenure at Atlas Iron he oversaw its growth from a junior explorer to an ASX Top 50 company, and the operator of three iron ore mines producing at a rate of 12Mtpa.
David has been recognised for his style of leadership through many awards including Governors Award for Giving 2011, Eisenhower Fellowship 2013, Western Australian of the Year 2014, and Member of the Order of Australia in 2018.
David held the role of Chancellor at Murdoch University from 2013 to 2019.
David is currently Executive Chairman of Battery Minerals Limited and Chair of Australian Remote Operations for Space and Earth (AROSE). He is also an Ambassador for the Western Australian Parks Foundation and Patron of Many Rivers Opportunities, Kalparrin and The Fathering Project.

Peter Duerden
Managing Director
Peter Duerden has over 20 years’ experience in the mining and exploration industry working across a wide range of commodities and deposit styles. Mr Duerden has held Managing Director roles for Magmatic Resources Limited and Sky Metals Limited along with senior management positions within successful exploration teams at Newcrest Mining Limited and Alkane Resources Limited. Mr Duerden holds a Masters of Economic Geology and is a Registered Professional Geoscientist (RPGeo) and member of the AIG.

Darryl Clark
Non-Executive Director
Dr Darryl Clark, a graduate of CODES UTAS, is principally an exploration geologist whose career has taken him throughout Australia, Central Asia and South East Asia for over 26 years. His responsibilities over the last 17 years have involved him in a diverse range of technological, political and cultural environments with unique challenges. During previous corporate roles with both Vale and BHP Billiton, and in consulting roles including SRK, he has been responsible for business development strategies, designing multi-commodity exploration programs and the co-ordination of exploration teams to deliver discovery events.
Recently, Dr Clark spent several years in Executive Operations roles. Initially with Cameco as the CEO of the JV Inkai Uranium Operation in Kazakhstan. Subsequently, Darryl was the CEO of the RG Gold Joint Venture operation also in Kazakhstan.

Jeff Dowling
Lead Independent Director
Jeff Dowling is currently non-executive chairman of S2 Resources Limited and a non-executive director of NRW Holdings Ltd and Fleetwood Holdings Ltd.
Jeff was up to September 2015 Sirius Resources’ non-executive chairman up until its takeover by Independence Group in September 2015. Jeff is a proficient corporate leader with 37 years’ experience in professional services with Ernst & Young. Jeff has held numerous leadership roles within Ernst & Young including at national level which focused on the mining, oil and gas and other industries. Jeff’s professional expertise centres around audit, risk and financial acumen derived from acting as lead partner on large public company audits, capital raisings and corporate transactions. Jeff’s career with Ernst & Young culminated in his appointment as Managing Partner of the Ernst & Young Western Region for a period of 5 years. Jeff also led Ernst & Young’s Oceania China Business Group, Ernst & Young’s management including at national level, and was responsible for building Ernst & Young’s Oceania relationships with Chinese Corporations.
Jeff has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Western Australia and is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, the Australian Institute of Company Directors and the Financial Services Institute of Australasia.
